KAMA Kollektiv is the Amsterdam-based group around Finnish vocalist/trumpeter Kirsi-Marja “Kiki” Harju, and band members from Israel, Germany and Finland.
Kiki tells stories – some in Finnish, some in English – about love, transformation, small everyday pleasures and a mystical view of nature through music which combines jazz, Nordic folk and indie pop. Together with the groovy compositions and poetic lyrics of the bass player Jonathan the band’s music reflects on the joys, confusions and challenges of our world.
Their 2nd album, TOIVO (which means "hope" in Finnish), was released 25th of June 2021 on the German label BERTHOLD records. In 2020-2021 they were selected as one of the showcasing artists at Europe’s biggest jazz conference and networking event jazzahead!. Since 2019, after the release of their first album KOTI (meaning “home” in Finnish), KAMA Kollektiv has been touring internationally in The Netherlands, Germany and Finland.

“We need to remember: even if things sometimes appear troublesome, there is always hope.”
