“A jewel of folk pop!”
New York City based singer/ songwriter Eugene Ruffolo has spent much of his varied career bringing his uniquely personal music to audiences throughout the United States and Europe.
Critically acclaimed for his seven albums released to date, his debut album A FOOL FOR EVERY SEASON was hailed as a ” folk rock masterpiece “, and ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE called his an “utterly intriguing voice”.
In fact his singular vocal ability has made him a highly sought after studio musician, who has shared his talents with artists as diverse as Garth Brooks, Run DMC, Kenny Loggins, Livingston Taylor, Tony Bennet, and Spyro Gyra- to name a few.
Ruffolo’s last recording CANTO PER MANGIARE found the writer and singer forging new territory with a collection of Italian songs (combined with a companion book-also self penned) that paid homage to his Italian roots and heritage.
With his upcoming release TEN GOOD SERMONS, the singer/songwriter continues to break new ground, straying from familiar themes of love and loss and moving almost into a spiritual realm with ten “sermon-like” songs that explore themes such as
forgiveness, the precious bonds of friendship, and the search for existential truth.
Ruffolo presents a collection of ten songs, each carrying a unique message and expressed in the personal and intimate style that is his trademark.
Produced by Ruffolo himself and Grammy winning producer Ben Wisch, TEN GOOD SERMONS features some the finest musicians that New York City has to offer.
