French composer and singer Benjamin Piat recently released his 4th record “Eldorado”. This beautiful album surprisingly combines Benjamin’s traditional style of french pop music and chanson francaise with the rhythms of Latin American music. Currently on his European tour, we are delighted to be able to host Benjamin while he presents his new album.
Born in Angers, in the western part of France in 1985, Piat has had a life long love for chanson francaise. As a young teenager he started to play and compose his own songs making the rounds around local venues. In 2013 he releases his first album “Boîte à Musique” which receives several national awards. In the next couple of years Piat collaborates with several artist ending up recording his next two albums with well-known guitarist Seb Martel and the French group Tryo. “Frenchy”, Piat’s third album had immense commercial success, taking him around the world. Inspired by his travels, especially those through South America, Piat created his last album “Eldorado”. Described as a joyful fusion of sounds this optimistic record is Piat’s musical journal of the past few years.
