TANDAVA – Dance of the Divine

Tandava is a ritual of self connection, a moving meditation fueled by the connection to your breath and gentle slow movements.

Originally the dance of Shiva and Shakti, Tandava meditation is part of the ancient tantric philosophy and celebrates the divine life force that is inherent in every woman and every man.

No previous experience required.

First evening is:  3rd of April 19.30 – 22.00h in Theater Munganga

What is Tandava?

It’s a part of the tantric practice. The Dance of the Divine.
A ritual of self connection, fueled by connection to your breath and gentle slow movements.
a moving meditation with reverence for your body and the bodies that you share the space with.

What can you expect?
Diving deep, ankering in yourself, being embraced by the space from the outside and caressed from the inside by the stream of your breath.
Liberating your life force in a gentle and fluid way.

You don’t need to come with a partner, though couples are welcome too. No previous (tantra) experience needed
We start with silence, we end in silence, inbetween there will be music. 
Tandava is a sensual and respectful dance.
During the initial meditation there will be a guidance into the breathwork along the rootchakra and the following up-stream through the energy centers.

The dance of the divine is build in 5 clear phases.
There is no fixed form in terms of shape, but a clear energetic build up and rules to the ritual.

Rule 1: stay closely connected to your own wishes and needs, respect your borders.

Phase 1
Sit. Ankering down. Connect to your body, your breath, your root.

Phase 2
Spread your wings
Allow your spine and your arms to move, carried by the inner movements of your breath.

Phase 3
Enter the space
Find the way from your base into the room, listen to your own tempo, transition to
enter the space, pay attention to the sensation of the air on your skin, stay connected to the rooting into your feet.

Phase 4

Phase 5
Sit. Listen. Breathe.

Phase 6
Reflection. There will be space for Talk, for exchange.
maybe Body-work, or simply laying and breathing together.

21.30 – 22.00 Exchange – verbal and body work

The session goes through with minimum 6 participants.
Maximum: 18 people

First session is on donation basis
minimum 5 euro, to be sure the rent is covered!
