Pauline (viool, zang) en Ilse (accordeon, zang) hebben al heel wat van de wereld gezien. Samen hebben ze verschillende projecten gedaan met kinderen in de sloppenwijken van Rio en in het Noordoosten van Brazilië.
Pauline heeft de laatste jaren in Brazilië en Amerika gewoond. Ilse heeft een aantal jaren geleden gereisd langs de Roma in diverse landen in Europa gereisd en in Rotterdam maakt ze muziek met Afrikanen, Mexicanen, Colombianen en Iraniërs.
De naam ‘Holandestinas’ komt van ‘Nordestinas’ (vrouwen uit het Noord-Oosten van Brazilië) en ‘Holanda’. Het avontuur begon dan ook in Noordoost-Brazilië.
Ga mee op reis langs verschillende landen: dans mee, speel mee en zing mee!

Pauline (violin, singing) and Ilse (accordion, singing) have seen a lot of the world. Together they have done several projects with children in the slums of Rio and in the Northeast of Brazil.
Pauline has lived in Brazil and America for the last few years. Ilse has travelled with the Roma in various countries in Europe a few years ago and in Rotterdam she makes music with Africans, Mexicans, Colombians and Iranians.
The name ‘Holandestinas’ comes from ‘Nordestinas’ (women from the North-East of Brazil) and ‘Holanda’. The adventure started in Northeast Brazil.
