Eva and Maripepa are going to perform a concert, giving a history content about the oboe and the English horn, in combination with demonstrations and music playing in both instruments. As a duo they will perform music from different periods and places, in order to show different styles and sonorities with this instrumentation.
Maripepa Contreras Gámez is an oboe player from Almuñécar (Spain). Since she was 8 years old she started playing oboe and she got a higher degree in oboe performance at the Conservatory of Málaga (Spain), with teacher René Martín Rodríguez in 2011. Currently, she is finishing his bachelor degree in oboe jazz in Conservatorium van Amsterdam (The Netherlands) with teachers: Jasper Blom, Simon Richter, Ben van Gelder and Ernest Rombout.
Eva Albiar Aliaga is an oboe player from Xàtiva (Spain). Since she was 9 years old, she developed a good affinity with the oboe. In 2018, she obtained the Music Bachelor diploma in the Conservatory of Castellon with the teacher Rafael Cuéllar Francés. Currently, Eva is doing the third year of Bachelor studies in Conservatorium van Amsterdam (The Netherlands), with Ernest Rombout and Miriam Pastor Burgos.
