"Toque is a contemporary dance show that brings to stage the individual between the solitude, the encounter and otherness. The sensibility and contrasts of the body movement and the differences that touch each other. The touch of bodies, the drums and the audience.
RENATO CRUZ | PERFORMER AND COREOGRAPHER
Artistic director of Companhia Hibrida, a group that mixes different artistic languages such as Urban, Contemporary dance and theater, with its creations focused on the actions for the scene. This dance company, that develops an artistic residence at Choreographic Center of the City of Rio de Janeiro (since 2008), has performed in many festivals all over Brazil, and also presented short seasons of its repertory in France, Germany, Costa Rica and Portugal. Cia Híbrida has received several dance and arts awards in Brazil. In 2014 and 2015 O Globo Newspaper listed its works among the best Dance shows performed in the country.
CYRIL HERNANDEZ | PERFORMER AND MUSICIAN
The musician Cyril Hernandez has played with renowned music artists such as the pianists Nelson Freire and Martha Argerich, Nicolas Frise, Bernard Lubat and Emilie Simon.
He often composes for theater plays, having worked with Augusto Boal, Thierry Bédard, Jean-Luc Terrade and Gilles Bouillon. As percussionist, the artist has already played in the performances of the dancers Loïc Touzé, Julia Cima, Olivia Grandville, Kitsou Dubois and Thierry De Mey.
GUSTAVO GELMINI | CONCEPTION AND DIRECTION
Artist director of Cia Gelmini, Gustavo works with different artistic languages between the dramaturgy of dance. Artistic residence at Choreographic Center of the City of Rio de Janeiro, Gelmini has worked with renowned Brazilian dancers, with works exhibited in Brazil, France and Holland. In 2016 and 2017 its works were listed by specialized critic among the best dance shows performed in the year. Toque is his first show of the trilogy of the contemporary man.
