Deborah J. Carter, singer of jazz and world music styles will be performing some of her favourites,

The iconic Bluenote sound - originally associated with Bluenote Records - has its distinct characteristics thanks to the many rhythmic influences brought to New York by the many talented musicians coming from South America. Deborah and her trio will feature many oof the classic jazz recordings influenced by this merging of cultures.

Featuring:
Deborah Carter (vocals) is a jazz vocalist with eight CDs to her name, has appeared at numerous jazz festivals, toured Dutch theaters with New York Round Midnight, as well as tours in Europe, South America, and Asia, and taught for many years at conservatories in Spain and Germany.

Mark Zandveld (bass) has worked with Deborah Carter for decades, composed music for two of his own CDs, and developed his own bass and cello instruments. He led the Amsterdam Vocal Sessions for six years and programmed various jazz series.

Cajan Witmer (piano) is a sought-after pianist due to his extensive experience accompanying vocalists in jazz, Brazilian, and Latin music. He also has his own jazz group, El Trio.

Olaf Keus (drums) has been playing drums with Célio Roberto Silva, the Fours, Nita Aartsen, Ceumar, Rosa King, and 4Sure. He's also a master on various percussion instruments. Teacher in drums and body percussion at the music school of Amsterdam. Olaf is initiator/manager of various bands, and programmed many jazz concerts.
