Following the beat of the Andean bass drum with the guitar, we will cross borders and travel to the Andes of Chile and on to Brazil to learn rhythms, music and dance that will delight you and make you smile.
Come to listen and learn rhythms and songs that will make you enjoy the cultural beauty of South America united with joy.
Ju and Moné
This duo is formed by Juliana Balmant (Brazil) and Moné Vasquez (Chile), who met while improvising and playing music from Brazil. The great strength of this duo is their ethnic diversity rich in culture, and their great capacity for improvisation that calls for joy, creating a safe space for others to play and learn as well. This duo fuses their roots with music, dance and visuals.
This duo has played at various events in Amsterdam, and is also part of a percussion collective that plays at various social and environmental activities.
