I Ara? (And now? En, nu?) is a performance of butoh and clown about historical memory and the lack of human rights during the spanish civil war (1936-39), the 40 years of dictatorship and even nowadays. It deals also with the political and ideological repression in Catalonia these last years.

Butoh and Clown, two marginal characters, move through history and feel happiness, fear and sadness. Both are in the periphery, they are those who adapt, rebel, exile, die, revive, survive. Sometimes, lost, they look for the path… and now?

The company MonSter was part of the making of the curatorial account video of the exhibition “Another end. The rest” in El Born CCM Barcelona and performed the premiere of this show there, in the related activities with great success.

Butoh i clown, dos personatges marginals, transiten per la història experimentant alegries, pors i penes. Ambdós estan per la perifèria, són els que s´adapten, es rebel.len, s´exilien, moren, reviuen, sobreviuen. A voltes, perduts, busquen el camí… I ara?

La Cia. MonSter va ser part de la creació del vídeo relat curatorial de l´exposició “Un altre fi. La resta.” a El Born CCM Barcelona i van fer l´estrena d´aquest espectacle allà, dins les activitats relacionades, amb gran èxit.

És un espectacle de butoh i clown sobre memòria històrica i la falta de drets humans durant la guerra civil espanyola (1936-39), els 40 anys de dictadura i inclús en l´actualitat. Es tracta també la repressió política i ideològica a Catalunya en els últims anys.

Butoh en Clown, twee marginale personages, bewegen zich door de geschiedenis en voelen geluk, angst en verdriet. Beiden bevinden zich in de periferie, zij zijn degenen die zich aanpassen, rebelleren, verbannen, sterven, herleven, overleven. Soms, verdwaald, zoeken ze naar het pad… en nu?

Het gezelschap MonSter maakte deel uit van het maken van de curatoriële video van de tentoonstelling “Another end. De rest” in El Born CCM Barcelona en voerde daar de première van deze voorstelling uit, met groot succes.

Het is een voorstelling van butoh en clown over de historische herinnering en het gebrek aan mensenrechten tijdens de Spaanse burgeroorlog (1936-39), de 40 jaar van de dictatuur en zelfs nu. Het gaat ook over de politieke en ideologische onderdrukking in Catalonië de afgelopen jaren.
