“The square”, was first staged in 2008. It was the second production of the company. This performance was made especially for touring internationally, so it is staged in a universal language. Presenting three scenes, where gestural language, incidental sounds and world music merge to give life to a particular neighbourhood square.

It is a meeting place where fantastic and incredible stories take place.

There we can know lovely characters such as Piruetas the dog, Casia the neighbour, the grandfather, Aurora the girl, Don Pancho, Lalo the paperboy and the amusing clowns, Jeremías and Serafín, who also play in the square before their circus show.

About the theater group
We are a company dedicated to puppet theatre, in the fullest sense of this ancient art form: we develop characters and stories, create plays, perform for a variety of audiences, and pass on this valuable artistic tradition through workshops for all ages.
Our director, Marcela Chiappe González, has over 40 years’ experience working with puppets, both in Chile and abroad. In 2003, in the city of Valparaíso, she joined forces with the actress Marcela Verdejo Guzmán, forming the Moviendohilos Company, which was later joined by the visual artist Marko Molina Echeverría (RIP).
Our current cast includes puppeteers Sebastián Farah Rodríguez, Cristián Palacios Miller and Valeria Correa Rojas, and the actress Vilma Verdejo Montenegro.

Through our productions, we have embarked on a remarkable journey, staging numerous performances and running workshops throughout Chile, as well as in towns and cities across Latin America, Europe and Africa.
