MUSIC OF KEES GELDERBLOM

Dutch guitarist and composer Kees Gelderblom was known as one of the “ambassadors of Brazilian music” in the Netherlands. As one of the pioneers of Brazilian music in the Dutch scene, he inspired generations of musicians through his artistry, passion, and dedication.Sadly, Kees passed away in the summer of 2024. Yet his spirit and love continue to live on through the many beautiful compositions he left behind.

As the love Kees planted in us continues to grow, guitarist Joy Goh has brought together Kees’s friends and fellow musicians to celebrate his music, share his legacy, and carry his musical work forward.

Together with a fantastic group of musicians — Lilian Vieira on vocals, Remko de Landmeter on flute, Marijn van den Linden on cavaquinho, Alaor Soares on drums, and Joy Goh on guitar — this concert will showcase both the instrumental and vocal sides of Kees’s compositions.
