This trio consists of three great women, musicians who live in Rotterdam, but they are from 3 different nationalities.  Martie Rikhof is a fantastic singer, graduated from Codarts.  Born in Tilburg, captivated by Brazilian poetry, music and dance, Martie lived and worked in Rio de Janeiro for seven years.  According to the press and public, she has mastered Brazilian culture and music in a unique way.  She plays triangle, flute and sings in this project. Elizabeth Fadel is a special Brazilian multi-instrumentalist. Besides being a teacher and a virtuoso pianist, she also plays the accordion. Her passion for music from the North East of Brazil led her to start this new project in the Netherlands: trio forró pé-de-serra (accordion, zabumba and triangle). Lauriane Ghils is a belgian percussionist from the world music scene, has played in many different projects and works also as a teacher. In Forró das Flores she sings and plays zabumba, between other instruments, adding a different flavor to the music. This trio started in may 2022 and already performed in many venues and festivals all over Holland. Prepare yourself for a great evening with forró, xaxado, baião, xote and arrasta-pé. The trio has also original tunes, and plays also non-brazilian music but in brazilian style. You will be surprised and you can dance and have fun all night.
