Amsterdam-born trumpeter/composer Saskia Laroo and her husband, US pianist/composer Warren Byrd, will bring an original Sunday Funk with their Jazzy Dance Quartet, creating feel-good grooves for all ages and cultures.
With an eclectic repertoire, which includes their own captivating originals, this quartet is a testament to the evolution of jazz, seamlessly mixing authentic jazz sensibilities with today's contemporary grooves.

Since the eighties, Laroo has toured the world, performing in different projects up to 8 musicians (Live History).

Highlights include Sampa Jazz (2008) with Robertinho Silva & Sons and Rio Das Ostras Jazz E Blues (2011) with her full band.

Laroo's own record label, Laroo Records, has released eight albums since 1994, including an LP "Trumpets Around The World" (2019) and a DVD "Live In Zimbabwe" (2014).
Byrd, a self-produced artist with his album "Truth Raised Twice" (2000), met Laroo in 2001, joining her on many recordings and performances.

Together, they also lead Duo Laroo/Byrd and released "Two Of A Kind, A Tribute To Miles & Monk" (2011).
