Considered a revelation in Brazilian music, being among the best musicians of today, the guitarist and composer from Brazil, Julio Lemos will perform a special concert of his most recent authorial work, the album “Julio Lemos Brasil Acústico”, available on the main digital platforms in audio and video on Spotify, Youtube among others.

For this special concert at Munganga theater Julio Lemos will feat two amazing and great musicians on the stage, Elizabeth Fadel on piano and Floor Polder on flute.

And his show also features some of his reinterpretations of other great composers such as Baden Powell, Yamandu Costa, Dilermando Reis, Noel Rosa and “Garoto” (Anibal Sardinha) and also songs by his special guests Floor Polder and Elizabeth Fadel.

Julio Lemos acts under the influence of the composers Villa-Lobos and Radamés Gnatalli, in addition to his style in choro, being a specialist in the language of choro and samba. He uses the 7-string guitar, with Dino 7-string and Rafael Rabelo as his main references, adding his influences coming from the guitar of Baden Powell and Marco Pereira in the samba-jazz style.

Resumed Curriculum of the trio
Julio Lemos has been a professor at the Federal University of Goiás since 2010, considered one of the best music universities in Brazil, has a bachelor's and master's degree in music performance from University Federal of Goiás, and a doctorate in music from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro and a from San Francisco State University in California, United States.

He recently recorded with Hermeto Pascoal, Marcos Sacramento, Silvério Pontes, Eduardo Neves, Carlos Malta and Toninho Geraes.

He has performed solo concerts and with his group Brasil in Trio, around the world, in Argentina, United States, Portugal, Germany, Netherlands, France, Spain, Switzerland and China.

Julio Lemos is the founder and coordinator of the extension projects highlighted at UFG: The Euripedes Fontenele Guitar Orchestra – EMAC-UFG and the Choro Center – EMAC-UFG since 2013.

Julio Lemos was the main juror at the São Paulo carnival parede for 3 years consecutively in the “Samba Enredo” category, in 2017, 2018 and 2019.

Elizabeth Fadel
Brazilian pianist Elizabeth Fadel has developed a career in Brazil with concerts in classical and Brazilian music, as a soloist or with orchestras. In her studies she had the honor of learning with Olga Kiun, Evgeny Izotov, Henriqueta Garcez Duarte and Anna Yarovaia. During her classical piano studies, she also studied Music Therapy. She played piano, harpsichord and organ for two years with the orchestra Camerata Antiqua de Curitiba. Elizabeth also worked in Brazil for 3 years as a teacher and pianist at the Conservatory of Brazilian Music in Curitiba. In 2007 she toured with the famous clarinetist Paulo Moura. Before moving to Europe, she recorded the album "Divertimento" with Daniel Migliavacca, to great reviews. In 2010 she moved to The Hague to study harpsichord at the Royal Conservatory with Jacques Ogg. She currently teaches piano at the choro school EPM Holanda in Rotterdam. In 2014 she released the choro CD "Saideira", as a composer and percussionist. In 2017 she recorded Pedro Moura's CD “Brasileirinho” in Brussels, he is Paulo Moura's cousin. Recently in the Netherlands she performed with many groups, choirs and musicians and received many compliments. Her new project is the group Banda Fulô, where she performs as a pianist, cavaquinista and composer. The group specializes in Brazilian jazz. In 2020 she released her own album "Blue in Choro", with her own compositions. She has also been a teacher at Codarts since 2012, for Brazilian music. In recent years she has performed many performances with well-known musicians in the Netherlands such as Mike del Ferro, Ronald Snijders, Lilian Vieira and Fleurine Meldhau.

Floor Polder
Floor Polder, flutist and composer, has enriched her musical journey with a five-year stay in Rio de Janeiro. There she became deeply immersed in the dynamic Brazilian music world and was inspired by influential artists such as Egberto Gismonti and Joyce Moreno. Her return home is characterized by the development of a unique sound, a fusion of Brazilian and jazz influences and her own creative vision.

She has released two albums in Brazil: together with Rudá Brauns the album "Vento Litoral", an enchanting mix of melodies and rhythms. Her own debut album, "Brisa Carioca", contains, in addition to her own compositions, works by big names such as Egberto Gismonti and Tom Zé. This album showcases her versatility and deep connection to both Brazilian and jazz music.
