Brazilian music lovers: don't miss it! A evening to listen good music and to dance!

The Pife & Zabumba Duo: Carlos Malta & Carol Santanna, are bringing powerful original rhythms from North East Brazil along with Brazilian melodies from Baião to Caboclinhos and Maracatú. Carlos and Carol are performing for the first time together and they will present a repertoire filled with swing and virtuosity.

Carlos Malta
In 1994, Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Carlos Malta founded the band Pife Muderno along with a group of top local musicians. Celebrating their 20th anniversary in 2014, Latin Grammy-nominated Carlos Malta & Pife Muderno was on the road all over Brazil and abroad.

Carol Santanna
Carol grew up in Rio listening to the sounds of the samba schools she'd visit at the weekends with her family. In 2003, she graduated from EMVL music school in Popular Percussion and has since gone on to perform and record with various well known samba groups. In 2008, she was awarded Best Zabumba at the forró festival FENFIT in Itaúnas. Since then, she has toured Europe twice and is currently living in London and recording her first solo album.
