A lipsync operetta from the butoh-queer universe. The colorful flag defends the equality, the body violated by the prejudices of society is printed in words and gestures on the scene. CONTEMPORARY WAVES
Inspired by the Mediterranean Sea; it is an invitation to decipher reality, to refine the inner gaze, to glimpse a common horizon beyond chaos. The Mediterranean, one of the places where some of the world's oldest civilizations originated, has today become the scene of the drama of refugees and migrants fleeing or expatriates to survive. There can be different ways of meeting between the butoh dance, hieratic and spiritual, and this piece, chaotic and vacillating. But it is only the sensitivity of those who dance to decide if and how this meeting becomes possible, focusing on the cathartic and provocative aspects. The performance was built from the music already created by Dante Tanzi in 2019, where in 2022 Luan and Dante decided to create this performance together within the proposal of the festival "En Chair et en Son" for the 7th edition of the festival., in Paris at Theatre Aleph. The concept of the experimental music festival is aimed exclusively for butoh dancers who choose 3 of the 15 participating musicians with their respective songs. Luan chose Dante's song "contemporary waves", due to the difficulty he felt when listening to it for the first time and aroused a challenge there to create a choreography and the whole performance concept. In addition to being a non-linear song, the title awakens the idea of several contemporary waves that can be interpreted on stage in a variety of ways.

EVERY DAY VIOLENCE
The meeting between the artists Luan and Daniel took place through a call for the sixth edition of the EN CHAIR ET EN SON festival. They were put together to create a performance and perform on stages at the Aleph Theater in Paris. Without knowing each other, they started the project from scratch, through e-mail exchanges and went on to meetings on the Zoom platform. In weekly meetings, Luan danced to the ready-made song entitled "Every Day Violence". In searches and discussions of what the song transmits with the creation and conception of the performance, the paths were taken to the current. The daily violence we all suffer through different social and economic strands. The body that dances in the performance is a reflection of suffering, castration of the printed system in contagious movements, viruses, labor work, war training, political speeches, utopians, aquatic underworld of bubbles and atoms, with bloody explosions and states energy of liberation of the being. The anonymity of the covered face is the challenge for the performer to dance without seeing on stage. It brings the risk of resistance, in dialogue with the projections in the fund during the performance. The choice for low theatrical lighting is to emphasize the projected video that automatically illuminates the performer's body, dialogizing with a confused, dense and technological atmosphere. The artists finally met on their opening day, which was October 19, 2021 in Paris.
