Cantorias brings a Brazilian retro sound in a contemporary setting.
Cantorias is a new project where Lilian Vieira (Zuco103, Lilian Vieira Grupo), Nina Rompa (Nina recently released her debutalbum There and is part of Kobra Ensemble), Anna Serierse (Kika Sprangers Quartet, Idema/Serierse Quartet) and Femke Smit (Roda da Holanda, Femke&Marijn, Trio Açai) join forces and voices to bring brazilian close harmony repertoire to the Netherlands.

The four voices melt together as if they have sung together all their lives and together with an amazing band they bring you soulful Brazilian rhythms and warm harmonies that keep singing in your head.
It all started with a video for Olaía music, known for bringing beautiful weekly videos of brazilian music.

Cantorias plays a repertoire of Bossa Nova and MPB with repertoire by the great composers of Brazil like Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, Ivan Lins and Milton Nascimento and influenced by Brazilian vocal  groups like MPB4 and Quarteto em Cy in a way you don't hear anymore these days. Let them take you to far away places and forgotten times.

Cantorias voert je mee met een Braziliaanse retro sound in een eigentijdse setting.
Cantorias is een nieuw project waar Lilian Vieira, Nina Rompa, Anna Serierse en Femke Smit hun krachten en stemmen bundelen en Braziliaanse Close Harmony naar Nederland brengen.

De vier stemmen smelten samen alsof ze al hun leven lang samen zingen en samen met een geweldige band brengen ze bezielde Braziliaanse ritmes en warme harmonieën die je bij blijven.
Het begon allemaal met een video opname voor Olaía Music, bekend om hun prachtige wekelijkse video's van Braziliaanse muziek van het hoogste niveau.

Met repertoire van de grote Braziliaanse componisten zoals Tom Jobim, Chico Buarque, Ivan Lins en Milton Nascimento en beïnvloed door Braziliaanse vocal groups zoals MPB4 en Quarteto em Cy spelen ze repertoire uit de Bossa Nova en MPB zoals je het niet vaak meer hoort.
