Sérgio Coelho (trombone) and Glauco Solter (bass) are traveling through Europe to pay tribute to the great trombone master of all time – Raul de Souza (passed away last year).
Both are Brazilians like Raul and have lived closely with their master for years. Glauco was the musical director of his band for the last 15 years and Sérgio was his student since he was 12 years old, being the main disciple of his musical language nowadays.
Together they are making concerts and workshops, playing his music and talking about his life, career and style. They want to keep Rauls music alive to new generations and old connoisseurs, bringing to the audience the special flavors of Rauls compositions.
This time in Munganga Amsterdam they are showing some special arrangements to this rare combination – a duo of trombone and bass. Check out the swing and virtuosity of some of the greatest names of the Brazilian music scene.
