Roberto Galanto is an artistic anomaly.
He’s an opera singer, a songwriter, a composer, a vocal coach and a crooner.
He released his first album called “Senza Troppo Rumore” in February 2018 in
which he wrote music and lyrics. We are dealing with a philosophical minded
romanticist: Roberto’s compositions are romantic, with a touch of vintage,
sometimes tempting sensual, but at the same time referring to the daily reality
with a lot of typically Italian humour. Besides the singer-songwriter is
undeniably influenced by great Italian singers such as Joe Barbieri, Lucio Dalla,
Pino Daniele, Vinicio Capossella and Gianmaria Testa.

He won Premio Bellaballa radio Festival (2010), Musica Controcorrente (2011),
Musica è (2010), and Premio F.I.O.F.A. (2010) with some of the songs from the
album he lately released.
He combines his work as a pop songwriter with his jazz activities.
He performs with Big bands and jazz artists between Holland and Italy.
He worked with Ed Partyka, Berend van der Berg, David Marez Oyens, Mario
Rosini, Arno Van Nieuwenhuize, Niek van Wiggen, Owen Hart Jr, Eric Doelman,
Udo van Boven, Dena de Rose, Susanne Abbuehl, and Francesco Angiuli and
many more.

His background studies are classical and he graduated first in Opera singing at
Conservatory of Monopoli, where he also studied Classical Composition, and in
Jazz singing at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague.
He studied with Eric Gibben, Rachel Gould, Henk Huzinga, Toon Roos, Niels
Tausk, Yvonne Smeetz, Anka Koziel, Maxim Zettel, and many more.
When he is not on stage, he teaches regularly pop-opera / jazz singing, choir
and guitar in different schools.
