We are happy to announce another "roda de choro" at Teatro Munganga. Once a month we organise this Brazilian roda (roundtable), where musicians familiar with choro can participate. So if you play guitar, flute, percussion and would like to play with us, get in touch info@munganga.nl

This roda is led by Elizabeth Fadel on piano and the amazing 10 strings Bandolim player Marco Ruviaro.

Choro is a Brazilian music style from Rio de Janeiro, from the 19th century. it mixes classical music like polca and march, with African rhythms like lundu and maxixe.

The combination makes people smile and even dance.

Choro is een Braziliaanse muziekstijl uit Rio de Janeiro, uit de 19e eeuw. het mengt klassieke muziek als polca en mars, met Afrikaanse ritmes als lundu en maxixe. De combinatie laat mensen glimlachen en zelfs dansen.
