Só Baden is a beautiful show dedicated to the Brazilian guitarist and composer Baden Powell. Considered one of the great musicians of the sixties and seventies, Powell combined the classical guitar techniques with the the swing and harmony of popular Brazilian music. With more than two dozen albums as a solo artists as well as in partnership with artists such as Vinicius de Moraes, Baden’s legacy in Brazilian music is uncontested.

This wonderful show is an intimate journey by the son of Baden Powell, Marcel Baden Powell, through the musical legacy of this father. With some of his most well-known compositions in styles, including bossa nova, samba, Brazilian jazz, Latin jazz and Musica Popular Brasileira being played we are invited to join him in this joyful tribute to his father, Baden Powell.

Born in 1982 in Paris, Marcel Powell is one of Baden Powell’s sons. With his own style and story Marcel followed in his father’s footsteps as a prodigy in Brazilian guitar. His career started at the age of 9, recording two albums with his father and brother at the age of 12. At 24 years old he started his solo career in Jazz and Musica Popular Brasileira having published 8 albums, being the most recent one “So Baden”.
