Couple Positive – Hassie Dune (NL) & Ania Brzezinska (PL)
Special guest – Jyotirmoy Chakrabarty (Kolkata), Indian Tabla player
The key word for Couple Positive is Connection. After their conservatorium years, both played in various bands, touring around the world, not only in western countries, also in Africa, the Middle East, India and Latin America. These influences reflect in their musical style, and brought new instruments in their luggage. Besides trumpet, Ania plays handpan, cuica and didgeridoo. Hassie, earlier as bass guitar player of Zuco 103 and Sinas, later devoted himself to the N’goni, an African harp.
In their repertoire, there is no question of one musical style.
It is an all-embracing concept, merging stillness ( medicinal energy ) and “move stimulating groovie music”.
A mix of global sub-genres with a big dose of positive vibe, rooted in West African story-telling music, spiced with Funk and topped with improvisation.
You will hear a harmonious blend of sounds: N’goni, trumpet, vocals, handpan, didgeridoo, percussion, loops & samples.
This time Couple Positive is collaborating with Indian Tabla player who is touring in Europe at the moment:
