In this concert Elizabeth and João are going to play music from North East of Brazil. Based on the work of Forró para crianças (forró for children), these musicians take the audience on a journey to Brazil.
We will hear a lot about Brazilian culture, stories, music, dance and maybe even make a quadrilha (a dance where everyone joins in and tells a story of a couple going to their wedding but having to cross a forest get there).
Be welcome to this wonderful morning where the children will have the unique opportunity to experience the culture of Northeast Brazil.
João and Elizabeth are going to play the accordion (as well they will dance and sing).
Elizabeth Fadel and João Bittencourt are two multi-instrumentalists who have the Piano and the Accordion as their main instruments. In this show they also bring the Cavaquinho, the Flute and their Voices.
With more than 20 years of career each and experience in different musical styles, the duo provides different sounds, with an unparalleled musical beauty. With naturalness, lightness and virtuosity, they fly through beautiful themes of Brazilian popular music, choro, samba and baião, in addition to themes from different parts of the world.
It is a unique opportunity, in a rare meeting between two great musicians, which promises to take us on a pleasant musical journey.
