Dúo Ranas is een krachtige tango duet uit Buenos Aires, samengesteld uit Pablo Schiaffino (piano, arrangeur en componist), en Leandro Schnaider (bandoneon, arranger en componist).
Na drie jaar te hebben gespeeld in het mythische Café Tortoni in Buenos Aires, hebben ze in 2007 hun eerste cd opgenomen. Ze hebben hun album overal gepresenteerd, van Sokcho (Zuid-Korea) tot aan het prachtige middeleeuwse Estland. Sindsdien hebben zij twee jaarlijkse Europese rondleidingen uitgevoerd, op verschillende festivals en milongas in Duitsland, Estland, Italië, Oostenrijk, Tsjechië, Zwitserland, België, Bulgarije, Frankrijk, Luxemburg, Polen, Uruguay en hun geliefde Argentinië.
In 2010 hebben ze hun tweede cd genaamd "El Limonero Real" opgenomen, met als speciale gast de zangeres Lidia Borda.
In 2013 hebben ze de "Suite Partoutango", originele muziek voor het tangofestival Partoutango van Veckenstadt, Duitsland samengesteld en opgenomen.
In 2014 namen ze hun derde cd genaamd "Jupiter" op, met als speciale gasten Ariel Ardit (stem) en Muhammad Habbibi Guerra.
In 2015 componeerden ze de originele muziek voor het toneelstuk genaamd "DOS, lo que se disuelve" van het theatergroep "DNI" van Argentinië.
in 2017 viert Dúo Ranas haar 10 Jaar Jubileum gedurende hun 20e Europese tour.

Dúo Ranas
A powerful tango duet from Buenos Aires, composed Pablo Schiaffino (piano, arranger and composer), and Leandro Schnaider (bandoneon, arranger and composer).
After playing for three years at the mythical Café Tortoni in Buenos Aires, in 2007 they recorded their first CD, which took them to travel with their music from Sokcho (South Korea) to beautiful medieval Estonia. Since then they have self-managed and embarked on two annual European tours, performing at several festivals and milongas in Germany, Estonia, Italy, Austria, Check Republic, Switzerland, Belgium, Bulgaria, France, Luxemburg, Poland, Uruguay and their beloved Argentina.
On 2010 they recorded their second cd called "El Limonero Real", which counts with the special participation of  Lidia Borda’s voice, and includes own compositions.
On 2013 they composed and recorded the “Suite Partoutango”, original music for the tango festival Partoutango of Veckenstadt, Germany.
