Brazilian music? Jazz? Classical?
For more than a decade, violinist Daphne Oltheten and pianist Henrique Gomide have been enchanting audiences with their unique blend of Brazilian rhythms.
With BRASIS, the duo takes listeners on a journey through rarely performed works by Brazilian composers such as Bahian troubadour Elomar, opera composer Carlos Gomes, modern choros by Moacir Santos and north-eastern rhythms such as forró, baião, maracatu and frevo.
In October, Duo Oltheten Gomide will release their new album, making their debut with Dutch label Challenge Records.
The album features collaborations with trumpetist Matthias Schriefl, singer Anna Serierse and percussionist Antoine Duijkers, further exploring the depths of the Brazilian repertoire.

In oktober brengt Duo Oltheten Gomide hun nieuwe album uit, waarmee ze debuteren bij het Nederlandse label Challenge Records.
