Enkele jaren geleden verhuisde Jhon Douglas van de Amazone naar Lissabon.
Waar hij sindsdien kunst, theater en muziek combineert waarin hij culturele verschillen en politieke  ongemakkelijkheden met een glimlach blootlegt.

Years ago, Jhon moved from the Amazon to Lisbon. Since then, he has combined art, theater and music, exposing cultural differences and political strangeness with a smile.

Anos atrás, Jhon mudou-se da Amazônia para Lisboa. Desde então, ele combina arte, teatro e música, expondo diferenças culturais e estranhezas políticas com um sorriso.

Jhon Douglas uit Rondônia in het Braziliaanse Amazonegebied is een veelzijdig kunstenaar die zich beweegt tussen muziek en de beeldende en visuele kunsten.
Jhon's carrière wordt gekenmerkt door authenticiteit die zijn autodidactische reis weerspiegelt die begon op straat als begon op straat als skater en hem leidde naar verschillende vormen van artistieke expressie.

zijn nieuwste EP, getiteld “Artista Chinelo” (april 2024).
Het project is een provocerende satire gezongen in vijf aktes.

and the plastic and visual arts.
Jhon's career is marked by authenticity reflecting his self-taught journey that began on the streets as
a skater and led him to explore various forms of artistic expression.
In Lisbon since 2016, his impact
on the city's cultural scene is clear with performances on important Portuguese stages and festivals
consolidating his position as one of the most active Brazilian artists on the Portuguese contemporary
scene.
The music arrived in 2017. Advocating that “the artist doesn't bend over backwards to please you” since
MATO, his first EP released in 2019, Jhon Douglas frees himself - and his audience - by stating that
understanding what he does is not under his control. He joined the JungleBoys and released his first
studio album in 2022 “Jhon Douglas JungleBoys & Maritacas”.
Jhon Douglas only abandons the soft-spoken when singing and this characteristic is now repeated on
his latest EP, entitled “Artista Chinelo” (April 2024).
The project is a provocative satire sung in five acts.

Jhon Douglas apenas abandona a fala suave ao cantar, e essa característica é agora repetida no seu
mais recente EP, intitulado "Artista Chinelo" (Abril de 2024).
O projeto é uma sátira provocativa cantada em cinco atos.
