Samba dancing can be an intimate interaction between two dancers or a joyful solo performance. Since the 1920s, in the hills of Rio de Janeiro (where the favelas are built), black workers, lovers, musicians, dancers and children - no matter their age, job or gender - have gathered in simple courts to dance and perform the samba. With beautiful melodies and lively rhythms, they try to forget the discrimination and economic pressures they face, wanting only to dance samba and samba until dawn.’

This show will focus on the repertoire that is less played. Music by the Novos Baianos, João Bosco, Brazilian music, Italian music, Roberta Sá and so on.
