Hila Hutmacher Band was formed in 2019 and is based in Amsterdam since. Hila is an Israeli vocalist, graduated her MA from Conservatorium of Amsterdam in 2020. She is the composer, arranger and the band leader of group.
Hila received the DownBeat student award for “Vocal Jazz Soloist of 2021”.
All five band members met during their studies in Conservatorium of Amsterdam. The multicultural group consists of: Joao Guerra(Portugal) on the drums, Elena Pisano (Italy) on piano, Massimo Imperatore (Italy) on the guitar and Julian Wittich (Taiwan) on the bass.
The last project the band recorded is a full album called “Strangers in my dreams” that can be found on all platforms.
Throughout the rehearsals, the band members aim to explore and reflect their different cultural backgrounds onto their musical work, and in this way to contribute to the cultural dialogue through music.
