Raiz Latina Trio will have a musical reunion on April 17th, 20 years after the end of the group.

The group, which in the 90s performed several tours in Asia and in the Netherlands, brought together three musicians with different backgrounds. From Chile, Federico Olivares, singer and guitarist, has his dominant influences on jazz and Latin American music. From Brazil, Nelson Latif, cavaquinista and guitarist, has deep roots in Brazilian music. From the Netherlands, bassist Arnold van den Berg has classical and gypsy jazz as his up bringing styles.

The trio will present a concert with both singing and instrumental tunes, traveling between the rhythms of rumba, cumbia, bolero, son montuno, bossa-nova, choro and jazz.

O grupo, que nos anos 90 atuou realizou diversas turnês pela Asia, além de atuar em seu país de origem, a Holanda, reuni três músicos com formações diferentes. Do Chile, Federico Olivares, cantor e guitarrista, tem na jazz e na música latino-americana suas influências preponderantes. Do Brasil, Nelson Latif, cavaquinista e guitarrista, tem raizes firmemente fincadas na música brasileira. Da Holanda, o baixista Arnold van den Berg tem no jazz clássico e cigano seus estilos de formação.

O trio realizará um concerto mesclando temas cantados e instrumentais, interpretando clássicos da música latino-americana, trafegando entre os ritmos de rumba, cúmbia, bolero, son montuno, bossa-nova, choro e jazz.
