La Hoguera is a tango septet formed in 2012 by young Buenos Aires musicians. Their repertoire includes arrangements of traditional tangos along with danceable, modern tangos of their own composing, that share some elements of Pugliese and Troilo’s orchestras. La Hoguera is intensely involved in festivals, milongas, theaters and cultural centers. They perform every Tuesday at Queer Milonga (Perú 571, San Telmo). They have recently edited their first CD, which features singers Hernán Fernández, Alejandro Guyot and Diego Dimartino.
In these four years of experience, La Hoguera has participated, among others, in the following festivals, events and places: l Campeonato Vientos de Tango, Chubut (Eliminatorias regionales para el Mundial de Tango 2015) l Festival de Tango de Buenos Aires, 2014 l Festival de Tango de San Telmo l Noche de los Museos l Fondo Nacional de las Artes l Casa del Bicentenario l Festival de Tango de Valentín Alsina It also has an intense activity in the main milongas of La Hoguera.
