Two voices, one message. Luiza Meiodavila – from São Paulo, Brazil – and Adelle Nqeto – from Pretoria, South Africa – grew up with an ocean between them, but it seems both realities brought them to observe and translate similar urges to their music. In this one time event, both singers perform their latest albums “(des)conexão” and “Home”, respectively and get together for a special performance.
Luiza Meiodavila (São Paulo, BR)
Originally from São Paulo, Brazil, singer/songwriter Luiza Meiodavila combines Brazilian rhythms and jazz melodies with elements from pop. Her second and latest album “(des)conexão” – “(dis)connection” – plays with the irony of the word “connection”, used in nowadays technology to give us the impression of being deeply aware, conscious and informed – but often having the opposite effect, according to the singer’s perspective.

Adelle Nqeto’s music stems from a introverted, curious, observer-heart, with a passion for melody as well as story-telling. Authenticity is an integral part of Adelle’s music, as she wears her heart on her sleeve, weaving melodies and lyrics to lure the listener in to sit and ponder on everyday life. Rooted in African folk, as well as exploring Jazz, Indie and Pop sensibilities, she hopes to reveal the reality of simply being human, and remind herself, and you- how enough, and perhaps even beautiful that really is. Now based in Berlin, her second EP, “Home” was released on May 17, 2019, with plans for more music releases and tours in 2020.
