Description
“La Mariposa” is a mix of dance and theatre telling the story of a little caterpillar who turned into a beautiful butterfly and then forgot how to fly. And why the butterfly discovered again her colorful wings and flew happily ever after.
The artist uses her own body and different elements to narrate the story, including a pair of giant wings. Music, sounds and above all, movement and color.
Violeta
Violeta Gago is a Spanish artist and performer based in Amsterdam since November 2016. She graduated from a Master in Performing Arts in 2015 (URJC Madrid, Spain) and Architecture in 2013 (UPM, Madrid). She has over 10 years of experience in Dance and Theatre as performer, maker and teacher.
Violeta has been awarded in the 1st Spanish Academy of Performing Arts Investigation Awards (2015) and in Madrid´s Awards for Young Creators (dance discipline, 2014).
