Op dit moment heeft iedereen te maken met het coronavirus. Overheidsmaatregelen en medische adviezen hebben ook invloed op Teatro Munganga.
Afgelopen donderdag, na de aankondiging van de regering om evenementen met meer dan 100 mensen te verbieden, hadden we besloten om het programma door te laten gaan. We vroegen ook aan iedereen die al een kaartje had gekocht, om thuis te blijven als ze tekenen van griep of koorts vertoonden.
Het leek ons belangrijk een plek te bieden voor kleine bijeenkomsten in deze stressvolle tijden.
Vandaag, 15 maart, is het duidelijk dat ook kleinere evenementen niet meer veilig worden gevonden. We annuleren daarom ons programma tot begin april en houden het nieuws goed in de gaten.
Enkele internationale concerten van April waren al eerder geannuleerd: 2 april Entremundos (Brazilië/Engeland), 4 april La Lunfardita (Spanje) en 10 april Ten Good Sermons (New York).
Voor degenen die al kaarten hebben gekocht voor de geannuleerd shows: we zoeken naar nieuwe data, wat al afgesproken is voor het Amsterdamse Butoh Festival, dat op 9 en 10 oktober zal plaatsvinden. De gekochte kaartjes blijven uiteraard geldig op de nieuwe data.
We vragen iedereen om pas zijn/haar geld terug te vragen, als hij/zij het echt nodig heeft. Kunstenaars, onafhankelijke technici (zzp'ers) en ongesubsidieerde ruimtes, zoals Munganga, zijn hiervoor heel dankbaar.
We hopen u snel weer te kunnen verwelkomen in Munganga.
Wij wensen u allen veel kracht en gezondheid in deze bizarre tijden. En laten we, ondanks onze angst, kalm blijven en meeleven met de meest fragiele.

Right now everyone's dealing with the coronavirus. Government measures and medical advice also affect Teatro Munganga.
Last Thursday, after the government's announcement to ban events with more than 100 people, we had decided to continue the program. We also asked everyone who had already bought a ticket to stay at home if they showed signs of flu or fever.
We felt it was important to provide a place for small gatherings in these stressful times.
Today, March 15th, it is clear that even smaller events are no longer found safe. We therefore cancel our program until the beginning of April and keep a close eye on the news.
Some of April's international concerts were already cancelled:
April 2nd Entremundos (Brazil/England), April 4th La Lunfardita (Spain) and April 10th Ten Good Sermons (New York).
For those who have already bought tickets for the cancelled shows: we are looking for new dates, which has already been agreed for the Amsterdam Butoh Festival, which will take place on the 9th and 10th of October. The tickets purchased will of course remain valid on the new date.
We ask everyone to ask for their money back only when they really need it. Artists, independent technicians (zzp'ers) and unsubsidized spaces, such as Munganga, are very grateful for this.

Neste momento, todos estão a lidar com o coronavírus. Medidas governamentais e conselhos médicos também afetam o Teatro Munganga.
Na quinta-feira passada, após o anúncio do governo de proibir eventos com mais de 100 pessoas, tínhamos decidido continuar o programa. Também perguntamos a todos os que já tinham comprado ingressos para ficar em casa se mostravam sinais de gripe ou febre.
Sentimos que era importante abrir nosso espaco para pequenos encontros nestes tempos de stress.
Hoje, 15 de março, ficou claro que mesmo eventos pequenos não são mais considerados seguros. Assim, cancelamos o nosso programa até o principio de abril e ficamos atentos às notícias.
Alguns dos concertos internacionais de abril ja haviam sido cancelados: 2 de Abril Entremundos (Brasil/Inglaterra), 4 de Abril La Lunfardita (Espanha) e 10 de Abril Ten Good Sermons (Nova Iorque).
Para quem já comprou ingressos para os shows cancelados: estamos procurando novas datas, como, por exemplo, o Butoh Festival Amsterdam, que acontecerá nos dias 9 e 10 de outubro.
Os bilhetes comprados permanecerão válidos na nova data.
Pedimos a todos que peçam o seu dinheiro de volta apenas quando realmente precisarem dele.
Artistas, técnicos independentes (zzp'ers) e espaços não subsidiados, como o Munganga, agradecem de coração;)!
