João Camarero stelt de techniek in dienst van de ziel door repertoire te spelen met thema’s van Garoto en Radames Gnattali.
Born in 1990 in Ribeirão Preto, João Camarero was raised in the city of Avaré – both cities in the state of São Paulo, Brazil -, where he began his studies in music at the age of eight and on guitar, systematically (since he always played in a self-taught way) at fifteen. He studied at the Conservatory of Tatuí and at the Escola Portátil de Música of Rio de Janeiro, where he currently teaches.
Winner of several prizes, such as the MIMO Instrumental 2015 Award and the Concurso Novas – 3, Camarero has also been nominated one of Brazil’s best musicians of the year 2016. He has appeared in several countries such as Japan, France, Germany, Italy, Holland, Belgium and USA.
The list of artists with whom he played and plays until today is extensive and meaningful, putting the young virtuoso alongside veterans.
Currently, Camarero is one of the most sought-after guitar players for his versatility and because of the ease of transitioning through the accompanist guitar and the soloist, concert guitar.

João Camarero, geboren in 1990 in Ribeirão Preto, groeide op in de stad Avaré – beide steden in de staat São Paulo, Brazilië -, waar hij systematisch begon te studeren in de muziek op achtjarige leeftijd en op gitaar (sinds hij altijd gespeeld op een autodidactische manier) op vijftien. Hij studeerde aan het conservatorium van Tatuí en aan de Escola Portátil de Música van Rio de Janeiro, waar hij momenteel les geeft.
Winnaar van verschillende prijzen, zoals de MIMO Instrumental 2015 Award en de Concurso Novas – 3, Camarero is ook genomineerd als een van de beste muzikanten van Brazilië van het jaar 2016. Hij verscheen in verschillende landen zoals Japan, Frankrijk, Duitsland, Italië, Holland, België en de VS
De lijst met artiesten met wie hij tot vandaag speelde en speelt, is uitgebreid en plaatst de jonge virtuoos naast veteranen.
Momenteel is Camarero een van de meest gewilde gitaristen vanwege zijn veelzijdigheid en vanwege het gemak van overstappen via de begeleidende gitaar en de solist, concertgitaar.
Toen Paulinho da Viola de gitaar van João Camarero hoorde, had hij gelijk de aanraking van deze Paulista-muzikant met de zeven snaren van Raphael Rabello (1962 – 1995) te associëren.
